- CP12/26 – Insurance friendly societies, amalgamations and transfers
The PRA invites responses to the proposals set out in this consultation by Thursday 22 October 2026.
January 2027 9
- PS14/26 – CRR Definitions: restatement in PRA Rulebook
The changes summarised in this PS will become effective alongside the Basel 3.1 package, on Friday 1 January 2027.
- PS11/26 – Disclosure: resolvability resources, capital distribution constraints and the basis for firm Pillar 3 disclosure
The implementation date for all requirements is 1 January 2027.
- PS9/26 – Resolution planning: Amendments to MREL reporting templates
The revised MRL001 and MRL003 templates will be effective from 1 January 2027.
- PS2/26 – Retiring the refined methodology to Pillar 2A – final
Accordingly, the policy to retire the refined methodology to Pillar 2A for all firms will take effect from 1 January 2027.
- PS4/26 – The Strong and Simple Framework: The simplified capital regime for Small Domestic Deposit Takers (SDDTs) – final
The SDDT capital regime will take effect on Friday 1 January 2027
- PS19/25 – Restatement of CRR requirements – 2027 implementation – near-final
the policies and requirements included in this near-final PS are intended to take effect from 1 January 2027
- PS18/25 – Retiring the refined methodology to Pillar 2A – near–final
the policy to retire the refined methodology to Pillar 2A for all firms will take effect from 1 January 2027
- SoP8/25 – The PRA’s approach to the exercise of powers referred to in Articles 244(3)(b), 245(3)(b), 254(4) and 258(2) of the Securitisation (CRR) Part of the PRA Rulebook
This is near-final material effective from 1 January 2027 to accompany PS19/25.
- SoP6/25 – The PRA’s approach to Internal Model Method (IMM) permission under the Counterparty Credit Risk (CRR) Part
This SS is effective from 1 January 2027.

- PS7/26 – Operational resilience: Operational incident and third-party reporting
The implementation date for final rules and policy materials reflecting policy changes set out in this PS is 18 March 2027.

- PS6/26 – Recognised exchanges policy and transfer of main indices
The implementation date for the PRA’s rules specifying conditions under Article 4(1)(72)(c) CRR and the revocation of SS20/13 will be Wednesday 1 July 2026.
- CP6/26 – High loan to income lending
Responses are requested by Wednesday 1 July 2026.

- CP5/26 – Modernising the liquidity policy framework
Responses are requested by Wednesday 17 June 2026.
- SS5/25 – Enhancing banks’ and insurers’ approaches to managing climate-related risks
Firms are expected to carry out an internal review of their current status in meeting the expectations set out in the final policy and develop a plan for addressing any identified gaps. This should be completed within six months of commencement of the final policy. The SS commenced on 3 December 2025.
- PS25/25 – Enhancing banks’ and insurers’ approaches to managing climate-related risks – Update to SS3/19
This should be completed within six months of commencement of the SS (ie by 3 June 2026).

Deposit takers will then have up to six months to make changes to disclosure materials, which will need to be completed no later than 11.59pm on 31 May 2026.
