Who we are

Reg Monitoring (regmonitoring.com) is a free regulatory intelligence platform for financial services professionals. We aggregate and enrich regulatory updates from official sources across 33 regulators and 20 jurisdictions.

What data we collect

We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand how visitors use the site — pages visited, time on site, and general location (country/region level). This data is anonymous and aggregated; we cannot identify individual visitors.

We do not collect names, email addresses, or any personal information unless you voluntarily subscribe to our newsletter via Beehiiv, in which case only your email address is stored by Beehiiv (see their privacy policy).

MCP server (AI assistants)

Our free MCP server at mcp.regmonitoring.com lets AI assistants such as Claude, ChatGPT and Gemini search our data. It has no accounts, sign-in or cookies.

  • We never see your conversation. Your assistant sends us only the search it wants to run, such as a regulator or a date range, and we send back the matching records.
  • We do not store what you search for. Our logs record which tool was called and the names of the filters used, not their values, plus whether a rate limit was reached.
  • Technical request data. Cloudflare, which runs the server, keeps standard request logs (such as IP address and the name of the app making the request) for up to 7 days, and uses the IP address to apply rate limits. We use these logs only to keep the service running and to fix faults.
  • Nothing from the MCP server is sold, shared with advertisers, or used to identify you.

Cookies

If you accept analytics cookies, Google Analytics and our newsletter sign-up form (run by Beehiiv) set the following cookies:

We also store your cookie preference in your browser's localStorage (not a cookie) so we don't ask again.

If you decline analytics cookies, no tracking cookies are set and Google Analytics does not collect data about your visit. The newsletter sign-up form is not loaded either; you see a link to Beehiiv's sign-up page instead.

How we use data

  • To understand which regulators, jurisdictions, and content types are most useful
  • To identify technical issues (e.g. slow pages, errors)
  • To measure growth and guide product decisions

We do not sell data, share it with advertisers, or use it for any purpose other than improving the site.

Your choices

You can decline analytics cookies at any time by clicking "Decline" on the cookie banner. To reset your preference and see the banner again, clear your browser's localStorage for this site.

You can also opt out of Google Analytics across all sites using Google's opt-out browser add-on.

Data retention

Google Analytics data is retained for 14 months, after which it is automatically deleted. MCP server request logs are deleted automatically within 7 days.
